The Lovely Bones

has anyone read this book by Alice Sebold?

I just saw that they were making a movie of this, set to be released in cinemas on boxing day...

do you think it will be any good?

...personally I hate how they are making many books into movies at the moment... I mean... it takes away the joy of reading and your imagination, I will probably see the movie though.... just to see what its like

what are your thoughts on this?

well its about this teenage girl and she gets murdered and raped by this pedophile guy, and after she gets killed she goes up to heaven, and she watches her life and how her parents/siblings/ friends cope with her death and its really good

ok that was the worst explanation of all time, but seriously the book is amazing lol :)

But it could be upsetting for some people

I'm actually re-reading The Lovely Bones. I think it is fantastic, purely because of the way it's written. I'm not sure what the film will be like but there's a very select films I like that were orginally books, mainly the Green Mile aaand The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe because THE ENDINGS WERE THE SAME!
*Ahem*
As long as they don't change it drastically from the book (like a lot of films do), it should be good :)

I guess after hearing they were making a movie of the lovely bones.... I instantly thought of my sisters keeper and how that turned out!

I agree the book The Lovely Bones was amazing, one of the best I've read in a long time. Especially with how it was written and everything. I loved it!

The book was absolutely amazing.

From what I've seen, the movie should be good too. This coming from a person who typically hates movie remakes of books.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie, actually. = ]

After watching the trailer (which looks good), and hearing the reviews of the book, I decided I will read the book before I see the movie.

I really really want to see this as a film.
The book's good, but it's not one I hold so dearly to me that if it's made badly it will ruin it. I think it's got a lot of potential as a film too, x

I've read the book and i'm sure I liked it. Can't remember much about it though.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

I wanna see the movie to see how it compares to the book, the book was class.

See I cannot feel this, not matter how you try and in the real world, there's no goodbyes.
