Dealing with long distance

My bf lives 3500 miles away (across the continent, from the atlantic ocean to the pacific).

We really don't have to go that long without seeing each other.
We saw each other for a week in November.
We saw each other for a month from Dec-Jan.
Saw each other for 2.5 weeks in March.
I'll be back for 3 months starting the beginning of June
Back for a week in September.
We'll be living in the same place in almost exactly a year.

so I know it could be so much worse. I do. So many people are in the military and have to go an entire year without seeing one another at all.

What helps those of you in ldr? I'm living in a place where it's almost always winter which I feel like isn't helping (October-April? May idk when winter will end and the snow will melt)

I just really miss him and feel lonely not being able to be with him.

Sometimes, you have to try more than once.

Alice came to a fork in the road
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "It doesn't matter."

A skype movie date is a good idea! We try to get on skype at least twice a week (sometimes we only do it once, but then sometimes it happens 3 times a week), but we've never tried that before. We usually only sit and chat while on skype. It can be hard with the time zone change. By the time he's just getting off of work I'm starting to get ready for bed. But I'm sure we could figure out a weekend day or evening to make a movie date work! :)
