basically its my 18th soon and i've already decided for a quiet social in a warm friendly casual pub.
Is it unreasonable to ask guests to wear casual but smart clothing? Even if the pub allows you to wear jeans and trackies.
In a way i kinda want the guests to wear smart gear as I'll be hopefully wearing a dress with legginsand don't want to feel i'm the only one going in smart gear.
Its not particulary unreasonable, but ya know, if you want to go out in a dress for your 18th, then who cares if everyone else isn't dressed up, just makes you more the birthday girl.

Smart but casual sounds fine, I mean it's not like people will struggle to fulfill that dress code. If you said everyone had to wear purple leggings with silver sequins then that would be, but asking everyone to make a bit of an effort sounds more than reasonable to me.
If I was going to someones birthday do I'd be smarter than usual anyway, I would've thought the people going will dress smart casual without having to be asked. That's just my opinion.

I love it when people tell me to wear smart casual. It's a beautiful excuse to me, I wouldn't find it an unreasonable request =D
And he brought me into a vast farmlands of our own midwest. And as we descended, cries of impending doom rose from the soil. One thousand, nay a million voices full of fear. And terror possesed me then. And I begged, "Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?" And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots! -- Not a vegetarian
