I thought it could be a nice idea to have a supportive thread on forming better habits i.e. I would like to focus on picking up healthy habits over giving up bad habits, though I do think sometimes the line is blurry. It is hard looking after oneself, and with the majority of us in lockdown it's not going to get any easier anytime soon. Let's encourage and support each other and focus on being good to ourselves. :)
Keep your goals as small as needed and take steps as little as necessary!
The idea is to make positive change over time that sticks over doing big changes all at once.
So, I am going to try to do two little things per week!
This week's goals:
1 - switch out some of my energy drink intake for coffee
2 - have one meal every other day that isn't a sandwich
You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve
And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground
I'm gonna hold another gamathon on fallout 76 anyone welcome. Ex friends from school not invited. They are not even on my list.

Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the 60's. Or maybe I was just a girl... interrupted.
I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside. I tried groups, didn't work out just made my depression a lot worse.
My goals for this week are:
1. turn in my school assignments on time
2. turn in my late assignment
3. do some stretching before bed
4. start bedtime routine by 12:30 at the latest
Please do not give me virtual hugs unless you are only using the hug function on threads. Thanks.
You can't always keep it separate.
This is happening, this is part of you.
This week I want to:
1) at least once get my arse out of bed before it reaches the "must throw clothes on and rapidly leave the house" stage
2) Do something nice that isn't work or housework at the end of each day
Love the thread idea Lana!!
This is digging right into the RYL archives, but I think I still have some motivational glitter somewhere. *sprinkles on thread*

Those sound like amazing goals. I may post you some flavoured coffee to assist, if you like flavoured coffee.
Me, this week:
1 - A 'normal' evening meal, every day.
2 - Take my medication at a regular time every day.
I am quite intrigued by the idea of flavored coffee.
I usually just have mine black, but might give this a try.
I approve of your goals.

I also like the idea of this.
My little goal for this week is trying to keep the kitchen tidy and the washing up done regularly.
Excellent goal!
It's achievable and will make you feel so much better to have a clean space :)

That sounds quite ambitious!
Any idea what will help you achieve your goals?

I highly approve of especially goal number 2!
I have some spinach ricotta cannelloni for later, so will hit at least one of my goals today!
I shall find more foods/meals that I enjoy that are easy to make/are microwaveable to actually tempt me to eat them.
Tomorrow I will have some coffee during my zoom class & I will stop buying the giant energy drink bottles and buy cans even when it comes slightly cheaper to make it easier to regulate how much of it I chug down.
How are people getting on? What can you do to make it easier to stick to your goals?

Okay so these are for when I'm over Covid *soon, fingers crossed*
1. Go for a walk once a day
2. Do some writing every day
3. Take the correct medications every day
Excellent goals :)
Let us know if we can support you in any way!

Setbacks are a big part of forming habits, I feel.
Once you're able to think about it again maybe look at how to break your goals down into smaller ones that might be more achievable at the moment.
I literally edited my first post to say "meal every other day" rather than every day because that felt unrealistic to me.

Lana, when does the week start/end? Do not know if I should submit my end-of-week report today or on Sunday or maybe even a different day.

Well any day that isn't Sunday could be an interim report Jenna? I like this Lana!
My goal this week is to allow myself half an hour after I get dressed to pootle around but then I need to Start Something Productive because currently I'm wasting so much time in the mornings.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.
Jenna, you can update anytime.
Normally I'd say the week starts with Monday, but at my old job Thursday was the start of the week, it's all just random and you pick whatever day suits you best.
My weekly goals are going medium well.
I have porridge so that's not bread.
The coffee situation should be improving once I pick up my mail.
Current goals:
1) I'll keep the coffee goal for now
2) work on my presentation for uni a little bit every day
