I'm glad your mum was able to help you use some skills.

Can I ask this? You don't have to respond. I'm just wondering if you see the difference between believing whether or not the voices are telling the truth, and believing whether or not they exist?

Like, can you acknowledge that they are very real for you, but also that they might be lying? Or are those things tied together? Would disbelieving them somehow make them less real? (Either to you or based on what they say, since those can also differ)

Please do not give me virtual hugs unless you are only using the hug function on threads. Thanks.

They have always been real. Sometimes I can consider the idea that they might lie. But they are still totally real.

I am scared the voices will come back tonight. I don't know if I can disobey them again.

Can you tell your mum or another family member so maybe they can support you? Or is there any PRN you can take or other activity you can do that will help you stay calmer or safer?

I wasn't trying to say that they weren't real. I was just trying to ask if there was a way to separate them being real from them lying? I may not have worded that well. Like thinking they might be lying doesn't make them less real, any more than a human with a physical body lying to you doesn't make them less real. Like there could be a way to acknowledge that they exist and are telling you things, but at the same time that maybe those things are not things you want to act upon? Is there a way to do that? Like to say, I understand what you are telling me, but I am not going to agree/do that right now? Or is that not possible?

Sorry for all the questions, you don't have to answer them. I hope you can get through tonight.

When they were badgering me last night I did something like that. I insisted that I heard what they were saying but I needed time to think. Hopefully I can do the same tonight. And I am prescribed PRN for such situations, which helped me sleep last night.

I've taken PRN and told my mum I'm feeling unsafe.

If there was a way I could cut the implant from my neck safely, would that be ok?

I can't imagine a safe way to remove something from your neck unless you got a medical professional to do it? That sounds pretty dangerous. Is there a way to ask a doctor?

I wouldn't trust a doctor to do it.

My head is telling me to cut the implant out my neck this evening and I really want to but I'm a bit scared too because it will be obvious what I've done.

I don't think that sounds like a very good idea. There are lots of important structures in your neck which could be easily damaged and have very bad consequences.

What makes you sure the implant is in there?

It makes sense, that's how it interferes with my brain. It was the Man's idea originally.

Have the Man's ideas tended to be good in the past? It doesn't sound like he has your best interests at heart.

Everyone says that, but he promised he is helping me.

Can you challenge that at all? I imagine it is very frustrating and difficult having to constantly weigh up what everyone else is saying against what the man is saying, but it is worth it. We want you to be well and safe. Logically, why would the Man's voice alone carry more weight than that of everyone else?

Might it be a good idea to speak to your mum or your mental health team about what's going on?

My mum knows I'm struggling and has texted my CPN. I would text him but I don't know what to say.

Well done for letting your mum know you're struggling. Could you say to your cpn what you said here?
