But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
No exceptions, tiff. We may reverse the descision at some later date, as has been done before (think WAYWT thread). But if that happens it wont be for a while.

If you want us to enforce this in chat you need to think of a way to inform the chat regulars.

It's just something I can't agree with, although it doesn't affect me at all as I don't use tumblr or view other peoples.
Reminds me of an old chat mod who dictated that you wern't allowed to link ANYTHING in chat, because she couldnt be bothered to check every link to see if it was triggering or against the rules or something.
Similarly to someone banning youtube because there are videos of cuts on.
I'd much rather see harsher punishments to people who do link to triggering content, rather than a blanket ban. but eh. Not my choice.
I can also imagine this being harder to inforce, because the probability that someone who'll link to their tumblr with triggering aspects is that they won't have bothered to read the rules at all, so will post it anyway. Which means it's really just limiting the people who already know the rules from linking to their non triggering pages.

It is always the tumblr end-users who abuse it.
When they are on online, they have the ability to configure your own persona.. so even the normal teenagers who are having just a few bad days are willing to reblog that SI crap.. spreads like a flu that infects others with ignorance.

We can do announcements in chat, not a problem.x
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
Not posting something on RYL doesn't mean that it's not there.
Basically agree with your entire post, but yes, I know it's there, but how can people find it? Without a link they aren't going to have a clue. But that's neither here nor there.

I've never abused my tumblr. Never reblogged anything related to self harm.
I am so pissed off with the people who cannot read the rules and have made me remove my tumblr which has nothing wrong with it.
I can't believe this. I actually can't. I love my tumblr. It is a big part of just. Me. I guess.
I agree with this.
I would also like to add: For fecks sakes! Why does everyone always have to ruin it. Do people not read previous posts or is it just malicious? I hate people. People fecking suck.
The world is just illusion always trying to change me.

Sorry if I'm being daft, I don't know anything about Tumblr, but could you store your sig images at a different site? I don't see how it's a big deal as there are many other image hosting alternatives.

Tumblr isn't really for storing pictures, its like a blog and people will post pictures are write posts and such. You can reblog things that people have already posted and they show up on your blog too...unfortunately things like pro-Ana and pro-SI are fairly prevalent at the moment. I hope that helps clear things up a little bit...

Because it's not an image hosting site like photobucket/imgshack etc. It's a blogging platform like the poster before explained quite well.

Right but when members are required to remove content from their signatures that is hosted on tumblr, blogging has nothing to do with it. It's the image that is being linked.

When you click a tumblr link, it directs you to a blog which has an accumulated amount of pictures and that is the problem. People get these pictures by reblogging off other people, not by uploading or hosting it.

I *think* the main signature issue is that people [like myself] had links to their tumblr in their signature. That's what has to go, not the images/gifs, which don't link to anything.
