I left the site last year due to my mental health worsening everytime I read my own R/V thread Well, I think there's quite a few people around who might remember me(or at least I hope so.)
For those who don't know me, I'm Lucy and I have a very bad sense of humour.
(Also, I really like frogs, and you can't convince me that hopping emoji isn't one.)
Welcome back Lucy! I remember you and our high quality maths geeking at king's Cross Costa =D
I hope you're doing ok?
Very pleased with the turn out so far for MOAR LESBIANS. And ignore Carmen, they have inpossibly high standards in polls. I give your poll the Jenna Da Mod stamp of approval
Thanks Jenna! I remember our maths geek moment at Costa too, you were way better at it than me but it was loads of fun!
I'm alright, coping I guess. Hope you're doing okay too.
I'm very pleased with the popularity of Moar Lesbians as well, I have to say. And thank you for approving of my poll, it's an amazing honour. (Why don't you like my poll, Carmen, whyyyyy??)
You make a fair point Carmen. I still think it's in between though, like a purplish blue. It appears between blue and purple as part of a rainbow , so surely it must be an intermediate colour.
Purple occurs when red and blue are mixed, and does not appear in the spectrum of the rainbow.
Indigo falls between blue and violet, but it is generally considered to be a deep blue.
I thought violet was a mixture of red and blue as well? Like other secondary colours, i.e. orange and green? And isn't purple like, another shade of violet(containing more blue than red)? #colourtheory
But yeah I do have to admit I know indigo is considered a deep blue. But many times I've seen it represented as a medium-dark blue with warm, almost reddish undertones(like ultramarine? But darker), which makes it look almost purple.
I thought all colours were to a certain extent a mixture of primary colours? Secondary colours being a mixture of two primary colours, and tertiary colours being made up of secondary + primary. That's what I remember learning in art class. Wouldn't either purple or violet be the secondary(I did art in another language so not sure about this one) and the other one the tertiary?
I don't know enough about visible spectrum light to say much about the colours that appear as part of different wavelengths though.
Edit: decided to investigate: this is what I found. Wikipedia also says something very similar.
Welcome back Lucy, I don't think I remember you. I think Indigo is in the middle of purple and blue , so I would say it's both.

Hi Meera! Thank you. I've seen you before around the forum(fun and distractions maybe?) but I don't think we've really spoken. I also said it was both so we agree on that one!
TONKS!! Thanks, it's good to be back. I have missed our nocturnal conversations too! Love the Bulbasaur!!
