What ever happened to the old buddy/adoption threads?

Years and years and years ago. When I first joined ryl there use to be adoption/buddy friends where new memebers could get to know old members by being paired up (if i remeber correctly).

I come and go from these forum quite a bit and noticed they disappeared years ago. But today it just occoured to me I had no idea why they were taken down? Was it something that disappeared. Or is this something iv imagined entirely haha

No you haven't imagined it as I remember it. I am not sure what happened to it.

I think that was a relatively common thing on V2 and it was a part of the community that was lost when we changed over to V3.

This version had the adoption thread. I think it probably got removed since not enough people could really support it. People were posting to get adopted and being left hanging

^yes, and we even euthanised the members who didn't get adopted. True story bro!!!!!

I remember this.
People had whole families in their signatures.

That's how I got to know people, and integrated into the community back in V2.
