Honey, if you go to hospital to get your cuts and burns sorted out, they will probably get a psychiatrist or couple of members of the crisis team to come and talk to you to find out why you feel so bad.
They won't section you.

Hey i can really really understand your fears.i have felt similar to that before.Afraid,scared.
i think it is really hard for anyone to say what could happen there though.
But i think you really do need to go to the hospital whatever happens as your health HAS to be your top priority.
i know in the UK sectioning is used as a VERY VERY last resort.
But i cannot speak for the US.
It is more likely they will just talk to you.
They will only want to help and do what is in your best interests.
It is usually best that you try and work with the hospital you go to to get your wounds treated and then you are much much less likely to be detained/sectioned than if they feel you are working against them or presenting as irrational.
i know its hard but please be brave and go.You know you need to.

i do not always manage to be around but i wish you all the very best - love and luck to you all!

hey there!! im sorry to hear about ur troubles!! im not sure about the US but here in ireland sectioning is only used when a person is at life threatin risk to themselves! i 1st went in2 hospital as a voluntary patient but when i was really ill thats when they detained me but if u do have to go to hospital its for the best! ive been in hospital now 6 months but have only been detained for 2 of them months! if they find that nothing ele is working with ur treatment thats when they might consider hospitalization! if u have any further worries mail me and il try and help with any questions u have about hospitals and il try nd help huni!xo
