What I would say is get weighed but beforehand ask the doctors if you could look the other way so you don't see the weight and also for them to not say it out loud. If there is a reason for you to know whether you've lost or gained then maybe ask them to say just that and if it is a little or a lot. I'd also simply ask 'Why do you want to weigh me every time I come?' as it may not be standard and there may be a reason for it which may not be what you think it is.
Right, guys, with that said and done I feel nothing else can be said on this thread that will be of use and therefore I will close it. There are a couple of things I want to say beforehand though. Firslt, can people may sure they mention all the info they can give in their first post as that speeds things up a lot but that is a minor point and is relevant to much of the posts here. However, the big thing on here is that the reason for the thread was lost and that started up peoples comments.
Secondly and the main point I want to say here is reading through this thread I have actually found that it may be quite disheartening and also feel a bit unfair to the user. The name of the forum gives away what it's for, ADVICE, not slight digs at people, not jokes here and there, not saying "Oh you've said x and y in 1 post, that's hilarious". Yes, people have periods, yes people go to the toilet; they wee and poo, and yes people eat and drink. People do also have sex people may have diarrhoea or vomit. These are facts of life. People mention them in this forum and it is not something that we want to take away from the FAF or for people to feel more nervous about posting in the forum as it can be a real clue as to what's going on. I know not everything I've said in that bit was related to this thread but it's all an extension of what was brought up on here as being 'hilarious' and it may be that the people posting are friends but still, keep it to yourselves or talk like that on general chat, not here.
Can people please be sensitive on the FAF and put yourself in the threadstarters frame of mind or what you'd feel like if your thread went like that when you were genuinely asking for help. This forum can have a lot of things on it that people are genuinely scared to ask and threads like this one will worsen this and could also lead to people also feeling that they can't go to their GP as they'll think I'm wasting their time or whatever too so yep, please guys, think about what you post and whether it is on track with the rest of the forum and more importantly what the threadstarter was asking and any advice regarding that, not a joke which may have arisen.
SadGirl55, feel free to get in touch with me about anything to do with this thread or any worries you have. The same goes to the rest of you if you wonder why I am doing this.
