Without meaning to sound harsh or anything, the way you phrased your question really doesn't sound like it's so you know what not to do. You explicitly asked what you should do to cause permanent cars, not what you should do to avoid them.

Either way, I'm not a First Aider and I don't really know what advice I can give besides try not to harm yourself - maybe you could consider posting in the Self-Injury board to try to see if there are any healthier ways that you could cope? Or alternatively, there is Serious if you need some help.

I would suspect that there won't be many people (if anyone) who are willing to answer your question, particularly because of the way it's phrased in your first post, because either way it is potentially going to be tip-sharing now. But if you really aren't ready to stop harming yourself, then look after yourself and be very careful not to go too far. As much as it might seem like a good idea now, it really won't be in the long-term.

Sorry I can't say anything more helpful. Take care. :)

dont self harm then you wont get permanent scars. end of.
as some one already said, the way you worded the question makes it look like you're asking for tips on how to cause permanent scars.
Basically, dont selfharm or be hygienic, dont pick scabs etc...

IIINNNN before the lock. (I'm so glad I've finally said that.)

This question is a minefield of a paradox. If you are a cutter surely you would know what things leave scars? If not why would anyone in there right mind give you a tutorial on how to cut. The information would have such potential to be corrupted. *Mind Explodes*

où est mon esprit ?

RYL is a recovery site, and as such we have to be very careful with a) the questions we ask and b) the answers we give. Even if you personally didn't want to know how to create scars (although the phrasing of your post does seem to suggest that, and if that is the case I would strongly suggest working through whatever is making you want to do that to yourself) someone else might use the replies you receive to do themselves serious damage.

thing is, its common sense.
you selfharm = you get scars.
we all know that, so you either try to quit or you just learn to deal with them.
People are just peeved because it sounds like you want tips.
i hope you manage to get the help you want.
sorry im not in the greatest of places so im not that helpful/

I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has already said. But I do think that you should post in the support forums to see if we can help you in other ways.

I get scars very easily, thats why I want to know how I can look after the wounds so they're at least less visible, as well as not what to do to make it worse.

If you genuinely want to know how NOT to leave a mark, why ask how TO leave a permanent scar??!

You're not asking for tips you say. Pull the other one.
