Why? Because it has 'British' in the title? Sounds like petty resentment. Ireland isn't a British Isle (ie, belongs to Britiain), it is part of the archipelago commonly called after the biggest island, which just so happens to be Britain. It's similar with Hawaii, it's not the only inhabited island, it just so happens to bear the name of the largest island.
