First time publishing

Hey, I was wondering if there are any writers out there who have had their work published? Does any one know of any good first time publishers for short stories and poetry?

If any one could let me know of anything I'd appreciate it as I really want to get some of my work out there! xD

You can self publish via Amazon's Kindle store with no need to go through established publishers. Many authors have started doing it even those just getting into the field

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.

You can also self publish with lulu.com I have my poetry book published with both lulu and kindle. Not that anyone buys it, but it's nice to have it out there.
