Nearly 2 years free, darn hard work
In September it will be 2 years since i last harmed myself. It has not been an easy ride but is definitely worth it.
The urges always come back but seeing my scars is enough to resist. I tell myself i am a stronger person for quitting, it was very hard, and the urges never properly go, leaving for months at a time then attacking again. I am not going to let it beat me though, it is one thing i allow myself to feel pride over and something i am glad i achieved.
