Recovery isn't easy. But you've made it a week which is a great start.
You need to try to find a distraction that works for you. Something that will keep you busy and your mind on other things. Try to remember that these urges will pass and you don't have to give in to them.
You should read this:

You will find something to distract yourself. The list is endless, really.
You need to find something that keeps you focused and preferably keeps your hands busy.
What are your hobbies?

Those are both really good distractions.
Writing is a way for you to express how you feel and get things out in a healthy way.
And playing sports is a good way to blow off steam, exercise releases endorphins that help lift your mood.

There must be something that works for you.
I would have thought playing sports would be enjoyable for you. Also it means you have to focus on something else.
If not, what else have you tried to distract yourself?

Try to think of what you liked about cutting also. If it was a feeling you got or a sensation. Once you do you can find something that gives you that feeling or simulates the sensation. Holding ice or elastic bands are really useful, I used them alot when I was first trying to stop.
It may seem unbearable at first but eventually youll find another way to cope and release your emotions and the urges will lessen.
Congrats on your one week! Stay strong :)

I guess the only advice I can give you right now is to keep trying these things. Do anything that keeps you busy for a while. Urges do pass and you can beat them.
And I agree with the ice and elastic bands. They can be a good way to help you feel a release without doing too much damage to yourself.
You can beat this, you need to keep fighting.
Stay strong and take care.

Something else that a lot of people find helpful is taking a red marker and drawing red lines onto your arm or leg or wherever, then using ice to wash it off as this simulates both the sight and feeling of actually cutting.

Another thing, though it does take ages, is watching your favourite film with a pad of paper and write down the words for your favourite character as they say them. It keeps you mind busy and concentrating on something other than the urges.

Hope that helps, stay safe and remember that one week is a HUGE achievement! Congratulations!

congrats on week free
like everyone said recovery is extremely hard and there will obviously be times when you want to throw in the towel and hurt yourself but once you find the right distraction it becomes easier.
I found that staying out and about with my friends and keeping myself happy with people that i love worked the best.
The first few weeks will be the hardest but once you're over them it will only get easier.
I wish you all the best
don't let it beat you
Pm me if you want to talk further
take care
