The only one that irked me properly was my ED therapist.

Me: Describes method used to restrict.

Her: Does that work, only a friend of mine wants to lose some weight and that doesn't seem too harmful a method.

Sophie-Mercy: Integrated/ getting used to each other. Host
Tracy: I don't really know her, but she's 6 and 3/4s.
Ava, counts to ten or three depending on how badly she is doing. Young
Erin: In charge, Erin doesn't feel anything, she just is. Always.

Love this thread!!

Though, this wasn't exactly something I would call "obvious", it was just plain stupid of my previous therapist to say,
Psych :"If you really wanted to die you would have been dead already."
Me: "Oh, so if I really wanted a million dollars, I would be a millionaire already?"

Come on, skinny love,
Just last the year.

Psych- That's something you'll have to talk to them about when you call, okay?

Seriously...what part of "I probably won't call them" don't you get. I never did work up the nerve to call them...and next appointment...

Psych- Why didn't you call the support team?
Me- I told you I wouldn't because I don't like phones.
Psych- You should have told me that then!

Seriously...
I had a similar thing..... an assessment to find out what sort of therapy would help me. I told the guy that I find it really difficult to talk on the phone and so phone-type therapy wouldn't be any help. So.... results of assessment: therapy on the phone. I managed to cope with 1 appointment of just saying yes or no to every thing and just didn't bother after that. And just been referred back to this service....woop woop!

Me- I've been feeling pretty down these past few weeks.
Psych- Why? Did something happen?
Me- No, nothing out of the ordinary. I've kind of just been waking up already in a bad mood.
Psych- Well no...it doesn't work like that.

The person I saw at ED services (a "specialist" nurse) said, in our last session, "you only have EDNOS" ... Not really the ideal thing to say to an eating disorder sufferer, especially when I used to be very paranoid that I didn't fit into any of the ED categories. That's pretty much why it was our last session :P ha.

^I think that's actually a really good question to consider, if perhaps a little tactless. There was a thread in serious a while back about this. I think it's important to remember the reasons why you haven't killed yourself yet, to focus on the reasons you're holding on.
There's that quote that Aimee had in her sig a while back- "when you feel like letting go, remember why you held on for so long".
