Little Girls and Weddings

Has anyone else done the "typical" little girl thing and planned what their dream wedding would be like? =]

I got bored last night and my best guy friend, Dan, and I have been throwing around the idea of possibly eventually getting married if all else fails...so we decided to look at rings and dresses for the humor of it all.

We actually planned out what we'd like: colors, dress, tuxes, rings, ceremony, you name it.

I really need to go to bed before 2am so conversations like this stop happening!

I've done it. Made the guest list, table plans etc.
I know exactly where it's going to take place and at what time of year. I know what I'm wearing. I know what we'll be eating.
I've also planned the honeymoon.
I don't know who the groom is yet though.

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.

I'll allow for wiggle room on some of the things =D If I love the man, I'm willing to compromise to make it our dream wedding.

And yes, Mikey, if by some miracle someone actually ends up marrying me you shall be invited!

Actually I spent most of my young childhood saying to myself and everyone else..."I'm never getting married, I hate wedding dresses".

I never planned 'dream weddings' at all.

Lol, me and a guy friend had our whole wedding planned too! It was going to be in Paris, and we'd fly away on giant swans to our honeymoon. Pretty frickin' sweet.

I haven't decided major things, but I do know that I want a gingerbread church instead of a cake because I love gingerbread.. and fruit cake is gross.

I work at weddings two days a week, so pretty much all the appeal of getting married has gone out on me. They're so much work!

There is this girl that comes in my other job though who is obsessed with getting married. She tries on all the wedding dresses we have (regardless of size), inspects everything in the jewelry case, buys tons of random used things that are vaugely related to weddings in some way, and stands there forever telling me about how she and her mom actually advertise themselves to lure in possible candidates for her to marry. They've even got the date set. Freaking crazy.

I never really planned it out as a kid, from about 5 i realised what a lesbian was and told my mom 'Im going to be a lesbian when i grow up so i WONT get married' XD

N now im engaged and my fiance is all like 'And i want it to be all traditional with a horse and cart to bring you there and you have to wear white and we'll use plastic wall seperators to keep your mom, my mom and your dad all seperate' XD I don't think i'll get a say in the wedding...he seems to have it all planned out!

No, I've never planned it.

But like You! Me! Dancing! said, I know what cake I'll have. Chocolate. Purely because I can't stand fruit cake, and it's my wedding, so.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

I've never been a fan of skirts or dresses so weddings have never featured really. To be honest, I'd be quite happy going down the registry office, at least that way it doesn't cost the Earth.

One of my male friends has his whole wedding ideas planned, and they're a bit unusual. I doubt the woman would agree to some of them. He's a strange guy though, he's got the names of his children (all four of them) planned too.

I didn't so much as a kid, but I do it now :) so does my boy.
I want a castle instead of a church, and a hot air balloon ride instead of a horse drawn carriage :P
And definitely not having a white dress. It shall be a purple wedding :)
*is sad*

Wake me up before I change again
Remind me the story that I won't get insane
Tell me why it's always the same
Explain me the reason why I'm so much in pain.
