Hair oils.

Hi!

I want to use an oil treatment on my hair...I would prefer it not to be a hot oil treatment although if they are awesome then I will test.

Im wondering if anyone else has done one/does them regularly and if anyone can point me in the direction of a good one....theres quite a few on the market and I dont want to spend a lot of money if its a rubbish one.

I have quite long fine hair thats very silky/shiny but I want to maintain the shine.

Thanks!

I've heard good things about Argan Oil and Macadamia Oil. I personally don't use products (especially oils) in my hair as they always make my hair greasy, but I think that's mainly down to me not knowing how much to put on and such. I'm tempted to give them another go in the future though as my hair needs some loving!

I have comb infused with macadamia oil and I find thats much better than the products in the bottles for hair prone to getting greasy. Mines a year old and still works well. Though I do have thick frizzy hair so can't comment on if it would work for your hair type.

this may sound weird, but beer is great for shiny hair. Wash your hair with it. Well, pour through your hair rather than wash would make more sense. Then massage it in, leave for a minute and wash out. Use after shampooing.
Legit.

I known a few people who cover their hair in mayonnaise and use that as a hair mask too. It's meant to make it soft and shiny.

Vo5's are quite good.

I've also used Vatika [Indian make, got in Tesco], but it was variable as to how easy it was to wash the oiliness out.

Mayo is amazing on hair, the egg repair damage, the oil helps shine. Put on dry hair for an hour then massage in shampoo, rinse and re-shampoo.

A simple olive oil works, or coconut oil is good. Argan too.
