The biggest outbreak in US is now in my county, so a long quarantine looking likely and well advised. Keep in mind the virus survives as aerosol (hangs in the air for hours) and isn't just passed via "droplets."

In Italy they are now getting younger patients coming in.

What do you need bottled water for? Is tap water not safe to drink?

There shouldn't be a water problem. Is not a flood, hurricane etc. Takes minimal crew to pump the wet

Also RoseThorne is from the usa where tap water is perfectly safe to drink unlike some parts of the world.

^ Not always, Insig.

Is US tap water safe to drink? Do you need a water filter in the US?

Before deep-diving into this topic, the general answer is that the tap water is safe to drink with some caveats.

Most tap water quality provided by local municipalities in the United States is of high international standard and healthy and safe to drink. In rural areas and houses with private wells, there are a lot more challenges. In addition to this there are many local issues including well publicized problems with lead in Michigan and Newark.

There is a also much related to the health impact of tap water that we don’t know yet. It’s unclear what the impact of microplastics, low doses of nitrates, lead and THMs are in the long term. Therefore it’s a cheap insurance to use an affordable water filter in the US.

It depends where a person lives, what their water quality is like, etc... as to whether it is deemed safe to drink. Most people have to buy bottled or use a filter.

No we do need a filter and sometimes its better to have water bottles so we managed to get some yesterday at 8:00 at night

And we're all worried that the polluted water from everywhere it might get into the ground water and in turn to our taps >.<

We're buying bottled instead to be safer

Is it normal to be worried that I might have/get corona?
I don't want to die in pain >.<

We have always been told that our tap water is safe. I have even seen testing results (in one of my uni courses we met with someone who worked on it since groundwater testing is like, a geology thing) from the water treatment facilities and seen how they work. Is it different in different places in the US?

We also just saw our case manager human. They did not say anything about the water being unsafe?

I'm confused. Lead has nothing to do with the coronavirus. I haven't heard anything about water being unsafe to drink because of it.

Auror - I don't think they're saying it's unsafe because of the Corona Virus exclusively, just that it's not safe generally so people buy bottled water instead and the panic buying is making that harder.
