how long can u leave a 5yr old belly piercing out for? due a laparoscopy soonish, with my others, ive jabbed it back through asap, usually the next day but it seemed to take longer than "normal" to heal. dont want it to heal over >.<

As it is completely healed, you might be able to get away with leaving it out for a few days, maybe more. Depends on how your body deals with it. I had all of mine out for three weeks but did had to re-pierce my lip when I put it back in. My rook closed up, my streatched ears shrunk, but my non=cartalidge ear piercings all stayed fine.

Well, now I know why my lobe piercings are so problematic. I'm highly frustrated!

I was wondering if it is safe to have a healing ear lobe piercing when u have a cold with a sore throat ?

It's not going to be bad. But might take a little longer as your immune system won't be as good as usual. Try to keep on top of cleaning it and try to be excessive rather than forgetting to do it. Saying that, I usually use the LITHA (leave it the hell alone) method which works for me but yeah. It's different for everyone.

Can almost 6yr old piercings get infected? My belly has got sore, slightly swollen and red.. havent had bar out for longer periods of time, etc..

Any piercing can get irritated at any stage of it's life. Baby it for a while and treat it as if it were new and it should heal up relatively quickly.

Cheers. On antibs for something else which can treat skin infections so fingers crossed if it is a bit infected it'll clear it. Doesn't seem to be quite as sore now but still up there in terms of soreness.

ive just had my lip, nose (two pieced stud on one nostril, and a hoop on the other nostril) and i love them. ive had facial studs in my face before, but had to take them all out as had mri scan.
the only one that hurt was the lip but not much lol. loving them!

As I have 5 piercings in total, let me tell you this- if the piercing gets infected, treat it with a saline solution. It is best not to bath until the piercing has healed.
