Money can be hard to manage. Do you usually manage it better or have an idea of how to stay on top of things?

Call the cmht and ask for a food bank voucher? That should keep you going in the short term until your next payment.

In the long term seriously consider asking for help budgeting and with money. Unexpected bills are a bugger though.

Thought I might bump this rather than making a new thread

My psychiatrist has threatened to not let me go on holiday!
If I don't improve by Friday then they wont let me go
Can they really do this??
It seems very harsh!
And how could they actually stop me? I mean they can't physically stop me going to the airport and going could they?
It's very annoying!

Unfortunately I have experience in this department . They can get police to meet you at the airport. Highly embarrassing. Of course there are ways round that but that would prob count as tip sharing . Also, another time I did get away to Belgium having been forbidden by crisis team and was swiftly hospitalised on my return. In short- I’d prob work with them ��

Very wise advice there, I think! It really sucks and I know how much you've been looking forward to your holiday but maybe try to think that your health has to come first. Your mystery city isn't going anywhere so there will always be another time for that.

Can you cancel it and get a refund if you need to? Or reschedule it? I don't know if it'd be helpful to look up that sort of stuff or not though.

My health is fine apart from the not sleeping well and crying a lot!
Ok maybe not fine but not bad enough that I can't go on a planned holiday!

I can't cancel or reschedule without losing all the money which I really can't afford to do. My psychiatrist did ask about that.

I thought my mood was a bit 'off' but I didn't think it had got this bad!

I don't know.
I need to try and sleep properly. They said that will help.
So I've taken my meds and taken a zopiclone already in the hope that I will be tired soon.
And probably just try and slow down a bit!

Sleeping better helps everything.

I was wondering what your pre-bed routine is? Like, are you on your phone/laptop/devices or even TV before bed as that can affect sleep.

I don't use my phone or anything when I'm actually in my bedroom. Up until that point I'm generally watching TV and/or on my phone. Once I turn everything off downstairs when I'm ready for bed than I don't look at my phone again

Some travel things do allow for emergency cancellations/refunds. Since this would be cancelling due to a medical emergency if things don't turn around, it might be worth looking into.

I agree with the others - it doesn't sound like your team has a history of making empty threats, and if they know how much you've been looking forward to the trip I don't think they would threaten if they weren't prepared to follow through or felt it wasn't absolutely necessary.

I hope things can improve enough that you can go.
