English High Tea with carefully cut cucumber and salmon sandwhiches at 4pm, followed by fruit scones cream and strawberries!

And a tube in London in rushhour.
And the palace and ****.

Oh. I REALLY recommend going to the London bridge and tomb expeirience! :D

Go to the London Dungeon! It's loads of fun!

York's a lovely place to visit too, if you get time.

Edinburgh is great - don't have a deep fried Mars Bar though, it's disgusting!

Do the London bridge experience instead of the dungeon. The dungeon a long wait and really long and boring, couldn't wait for it to end. Also do madam tusauds or whatever the spelling us

You should do Edinburgh or Stirling castle when you visit Scotland. There is an anatomy museum in Glasgow university which is fun.

FWIW the London Dungeon has now moved to the South Bank - and to be fair, you can do the Dungeon experience in York and Edinburgh too, and it's pretty much exactly the same experience wherever you go.

In London (if you come to London) have a look at Londonist or Time Out for tips for what to do - it often covers some of the more interesting and less touristy galleries.

Definitely recommend trying the tube at rush hour, just for the experience, and some proper British pubs with proper British ale. If you can, go to the countryside too - places like Hertfordshire and Kent, as you'll get a totally different feeling for the place. It feels like you should also try Oxford or Cambridge, as they're the 'classics' - punting along the river, drinking Pimms and eating a picnic.

I'd also massively recommend Brighton as a place to visit.

If you're heading north to Scotland, check out York and Leeds on the way; two very contrasting but very British cities, and York is exactly equidistant between London and Edinburgh.

Lake District too is beautiful, as is New Forest, as is Yorkshire Moors.

Scotland, it's worth heading up North north to places like the Isle of Skye and the Highlands - absolutely stunning, and not at all (as I'd been expecting, unfairly!) like The Wicker Man.

Have fun!

Also, go to the Black Country because people's reactions when you say you've been to the Black Country are brilliant :D
And our dialect is brilliant.
And we have a museum (Black Country Living Museum) and a zoo (Dudley Zoo) And loads of other cool stuff.

In London, I'd say a visit to the Natural History Musueum is a must. And Buckingham Palace, of course.

York is beautiful, and there's a Viking musueum! The Yorkshire moors/dales if you have time, are stunning. Warwick Castle is amazing if you are around that way. There's loads to see in the UK!

Watch the sunrise all alone
Sitting on the tracks
Hear the train come roaring in
Never coming back

Laying quiet in the grass
Everything is still
River stones and broken bones
Scattered on the hill
