also, i'm not a mod, but i'd imagine that points for things like that have to do with how things are brought up and approached as well as what the subject is? and i'm sorry if i shouldn't have said that... since this thread has gone of topic i'm not sure if its good form to keep replying

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.

Aye that's what I meant - my points are irrelevant, but i got them for something that was asked here so i thought i'd share. I def deserved my points coz I was rude, but i was told that the rule is wrong which was the point I was raising here

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.

Exactly, so why ban one 'bad' thing and not all images?
Why not have all images being able to be posted? Let people take responsibility for what they post and what they view?

The awkward moment when I disagree with Jodie.

I honestly think it's legit. It's not a great inconvenience to not post jpgs of guns or blades and I think it can be agreed that it is something that would be deemed 'triggering' by a lot of members.

The line is hazy when it comes to pencil sharpeners or flames, but it has to be drawn somewhere to get a balance, and I personally think it's quite a well-drawn line right now.

Really? All pictures? So how far are we going here?Pictures of wounds?Blood smeared things?State of the toilet after a binge/purge? Thinspo poses?

We are doing a fine balancing act between having a safe environment and giving people freedom.

This is a decision that took us time to make and not one we took lightly and it is something we were fully aware would give us backlash because lets face it everything we do upsets someone.

I guess like, posting a blade is a nono, but posting a craft activity including scissors/craft blades is okay?

Because the purpose is clear. Is that how we get the balance?

I wans't saying all pictures, like obviously stuff like that is irresponsible to post... I mean like, if you're banning guns, ban high buildings, ban ropes/belts (I don'tthink we should, but I'm making the point of it's one rule for one thing..) I don't even know what I think anymore

grandfather look it up pertaining to guns... a gun bought before a ban usually u can keep the ban usually only prevents new ones from being made and sold...

Really?! Even like poems that are like:
'I take the blade
to my skin
it has made
me lose not win'

As a random example.
