Binge eating recovery
Hiya All
I am really stuck on what to do, i am currently in the process of recovery and i have gone quite sometime without my big binges unless it's been with family at celebrations. (my uncle's 50 party) and seeing my auntie M and uncle B. However for the last few months, i have been turning up groups and activities which i don't enjoy and can be quite stressful for me (due to the amount of food on the table) and being with men and not having confidence to have a conversation with someone. These are really the only groups, I am able to turn up to due to schedule.
So what I am asking is whether if its a good idea to use these groups, so I am able to say to family (that i am busy everyday of the week) and as way i choosing what i want for lunch rather relying on my parents sandwiches and
overeating and laying on the couch cycle. One sandwich, always leads to another which leads to another and then more trips to kitchen and then up to the local shop for more stuff. I hope i am not triggering anyone.
Plus turning up groups and doing these actvities also gives me the excuse to do daily exercise and Im learning that i can do anything that doesn't involve binge eating.
