Okay, basically there's this huge petition on Facebook to get Rage Against The Machine's Killing In The Name to number 1 this Christmas. Coz we're sick of X Factor ruining it, it's taken all the fun out of the chart! I love X Factor but sick of the s**t cover that the winner releases every year! Something has to be done.
Oh, and this is not spam. This is a thread to raise awareness. It's been on news programmes too, surprised if you haven't heard of it. Anyway: join and spread the word!

I think people are so focused on destroying the X factor dictatorship they become divided and end up achieving nothing.
Meh,i still think it should be an oldie xmas song like 'i wish it could be christmas everyday' or Mariah or something.x

I care. It's not fair for all the artists out there. It's pretty much guaranteed that the X Factor winner will get the Number One. And you know what, all we are trying to do is show that we can over-turn that and get somebody else to number One. Yeah, you are being rather ***ing rude about it. But it might well be xfactor again, because there isnt only the winners song, there apparantly jedward and some other xfator guy from a few years back. But the other song other than ratm thats getting alot of support is the muppets, people are hoping the song will get releaed in time for the christmas charts.

Rage have my moral support anyway. I already bought their albums a long time ago so I won't be getting the single because that costs more money, but the love is there.
I dont like rage or i would. Christmas number one should be a christmas song - i remember when i used to care what it was. but yeh i wouldn't think signing a petition would get it to number one, surely you'd have to download the song?
It's getting absolutely huge, just so you know. I do hope people buy it so it does at least get SOMEWHERE in the charts. Realistically, it probably won't make Number 1, but I hope it gets in the top 10. Just shows what we, the public, when united, can do.
