Positive recovery post - "Distraction" Bracelets
I just thought I would share what I have been doing lately whenever I get urges to self harm... or whenever I get bored!
I've taken up making bracelets out of colored floss, like those friendship bracelets you see everywhere. They are very fun to make and keep your hands busy. Also, when I wear them I feel more confident wearing shorter sleeves (I live in southern GA; it is getting HOT). I feel they are a productive and simple way to resist urges. So if you are up for new ideas I would definitely suggest this! They also make great gifts- my mother adored the one I made for her :)
