What have I gotten into?

I've started cutting again. I have my first aid stuff, but cutting is on my mind all the time. Or where i can find new tools fresh out of the package. Hitting is on my mind too. What have I got myself into? I still need cutting/bruising right now, but I dont want to cut deep enough to need stitches. Could harm minimization be an option?

Hi celticroots,
I'm going through the same thing right now, sort of. Um, I was clean of cutting for almost three months, but got back to it again. By harm minimization, do you mean cut less or lighter?
You can always minimize how much you harm, I know how much it eases the pain, or releases the ya know, whatever, ha, um I hope what I said makes sense to you. An if you ever need to talk, I'm here. :)

Yes in terms of minimization with cutting, I mean cutting less. Like limiting the number of cuts. Recently I cut twice, but when I cut more, I plan on reducing the number. I want to do the same with bruising, but haven't found a way yet.

Thank you for the reply!

No problem :) if you ever need to talk I'm here :) PM me sometime. I've never bruised myself, I'm anemic so I get bruises a lot tho. But with cutting as long as ur not cutting deeper to make up for the smaller quantity then it's better, still not better than being free but I understand you, where your coming from

It takes small steps to make great accomplishments. Lessening how much you cut or how often (don't know if you've considered it) may seem like it's nothing. But it's huge. By doing that you'll have more control over things then you realize. Good luck. Remember a small step is still a step!

Thank you. I want to do minimization with bruising too, but I am not sure how to do it.
