Ish. I use an adaptation of my first name, as was when I joined RYL. Some people know my whole name. I've got a lot more cautious since joining, though - I think partly as I'm now moving into the working world and have to be less google-able!
I do. Which hasn't always been a good thing because I've made it far too easy to figure out who I am!
"I know you're sad, so I won't tell you to have a good day. Instead, I advise you to simply have a day.
Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes, and don't give up on yourself just yet.
It'll get better. Until then, have a day."
use real first name but not surname.
but then again theres quite a few jen's around.
i think it really up to you.
some members i know by username only other they're real or 'chosen' ryl name. i dont think it matter as long as you are comfortable with what you get people to call you.
'Fix me. Fix my head. Fix me please. I don't wanna be dead.
Someday. I'll feel no pain. Someday. I won't have a brain. They'll take away the part that hurts. And let the rest remain.'
I go by a shortend version of my real name as I do IRL, which is fairly common although the spelling isn't the most well used one. I think I have let my cringe worthy full name slip on occasion though.
I have a really uncommon name, as in, i've only ever heard it in books.
My mates then gave me a nickname that is a shortening of my name, and I'm using the end of that nickname as 'Bee'.
I genuinely don't know why i'm worried about being found as it isn't anything to be ashamed of.
I think its that if people found out who I was on here, they wouldn't take tpp well to things that I write on here since i'm my true self on here.
And I also have to be careful since i'm studying to be a nurse and I can't be linked to anything nasty, and I write about EVERYTHING on here. =]
From Nymph to Dragonfly, I know my place.
Call me Bee. =) Like it or Lump it.
‘Cause the passion and pain are gonna keep you alive someday
I don't keep my real name a secret at all (I say it in the first post), but people are told to feel free to call me a nickname from my real name or my username (i.e. 'Katty' for 'OiElloKatty' or something they come up with).
Sometimes the best way to hold onto something is to let it go. - Anon
