Oh! I'm sorry, I may have failed at reading comprehension there.
Honestly, it was probably me, I've not had anywhere near enough tea today!

I'm doing okay, weirdly getting used to the chest pain and difficulty breathing - is that just really daft?

How are you?

I'm only allowed one cup of caffeinated tea a day, so I totally understand that!

And no, not so much.
But I don't feel like I can ask for help after what happened the other day, so I feel a bit stuck; like I just have to deal with it and hope it doesn't get worse.

Phi- if it’s no better tomorrow I definitely think callingnis a good idea. I spoke to my specialists today and they were actually really nice and even thanked me for calling so we could prevent things getting even worse. It was also the quickest I got through to a consultant, ever! There’s nothing wrong with needing support or advice. Please don’t let one negative experience put you off z

So I ended up in A&E last night because of the chest pain and breathing, and also because I've been being sick since Wednesday and had a sudden sharp upper abdominal pain that got worse and worse.

Because of the virus symptoms they had to take me in through the isolation pod area and it was an awful experience.
The doctor came in, said he wasn't going to give me pain relief at all and then said "well let's just get something in you and get you gone."
I then heard a nurse say "she should have blood tests as she's had viral sympoms for a couple of weeks" and his response was "yeah, I'm not bothered, just get her some antisickness and get her out of here."

I know they're busy, I know that.
But. I was literally rolling around in pain, crying, vomiting... and they couldn't treat me with a bit of dignity?

I just. I'm done, guys.
I'm so done.
I can't keep asking for help and being shown I'm not worth it.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that, Ophiuchus. I'm low on words but needed you to know I've read and you're not alone.

I'm not well versed on your NHS. (American, here) Is there any way to report Dr. Asshat?

I'm so sorry that happened to you Ophiuchus

As Heartagram Tears said, is there a way to report the doctor?

We'll make it together, one small step at a time

We have PALS, but I don't have the energy to even think about even trying.

I'm sorry Phi, that sounds like a horrible experience. I would think about speaking to PALS but it's also totally okay if you don't feel up to it at the moment. Do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself. How are you feeling now?

Pretty rubbish.
My gp figured he would treat the breathing as a chest infection and gave me antibiotics. Unfortunately it turns out I'm allergic to them (but I'm allergic to most antibiotics, so this is no surprise), so I'm pretty scuppered right now!

How is everyone doing today?

Just watched a report on the news featuring a lot of elderly people and I have to say their resolve was amazing. They're taking it all in their stride, accepting that yes, it sucks but we all have to do what we have to do, and eventually this will pass. Trying to remind myself of this and take courage from their outlook.

Saying that though, I'm really worried about people who might flock to the outside, to parks and such to sunbathe or have days out in groups over the next few days and Easter weekend while the weather is nice. The government is threatening to ban all outside exercise for everyone if this happens... and there's enough stupid people in this country to make this highly possible.

People don't like being told what to do, I think that's the problem.

I really hope people stay inside, it would be awful if they banned us from going out for exercise.

I feel really sad right now. I'm taking a break from work because I'm terrified of putting my partner at risk but it's going to be really stressful financially and I'm really no good at being stuck in the flat! I know it's difficult for everyone though.
