I don't really have much to say, I just wanted to share that I had my first counselling appointment a few days ago. My counsellor is great. His name is Greg, he's really easy to talk to. At first I was really nervous and quiet but after about twenty minutes I started spilling my guts! I felt better after just that first hour of talking. He seemed to really understand my urge to cut and that it's an emotional release for me and a stress-reliever. It's so nice to tell someone about my self-injury and not have them immediately peg me as suicidal or an attention seeker. I think this is going to be really good.
That's all, nothing important, I've just heard lots of people say that their counsellor/ therapist/ doctor didn't treat them very well so I wanted to share my positive experience.
