Well you must have been a staff/volunteer something or other because randoms couldn't join until March 2004 - timed to go with SI day.
As the date reflects, I joined in March of 2004 on the date v2 opened. I was not on the staff in any form. I think you are misreading the date. I became staff later during v2. But regardless, I am not the oldest active member. Irene has been around longer. Ami has as well (Mariposa), but she's not very active.
[quote=Auror.;4046129]Actually so is join date. Looks like by what people list in profiles, Crys is the oldest active one. But that doesn't mean others have older dates who just didn't list them...[/QUOTE

I lurked for yeeeeeears before joining. Since 2014 going by what my age was at the time and when I remember my friend showing RYL to me. But I was too scared to join on my family computer in case I got found out, so didn't join until I left home.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break
that its heart may stand in the sun,
so must you know pain.
There are only two ways in which one can live their life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is.
I joined Ruin when I was young, probably 13 or 14 (2002-2003 time) and I remember Ali being on there, Irene, Fox, Jack etc. I was more of a lurker so not sure if many people would recognise my name 'bleed your pain'.
I didn't become staff really until we moved to recover. I started as one of the site editors then became a supporter then a moderator (I think). I remember logging on to RYL and modding in my breaks at college so I was definitely a mod in 2006, I think probably it happened at least a year earlier than that. I was a mod when the RYL documentary was filmed, and I am pretty sure I was 15 when it was filmed so would have been 2004.
When we moved to v2 I changed my name to control freak.
Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.
And there was me thinking you were reffering to age with {am I the oldest member} I was sure 61 would have put me near the top, but never mind, i'm sure i'll win something one day before I pop my clogs!
