You need to go to hospital or get medical attention. There is no way of knowing what the effects of what you have taken will have on your body and they can be permenant and life threatening. You may feel fine now but damage can take a while to become apparant. No one else here will advise you anything other than you need to go to hospital to be seen.

I'm sure they won't be angry with you, but you really need to go to hospital if you've overdosed. Can you talk to your parents?

Else, NHSdirect are lovely if you ring them and ask for advice: (0845 4647)

Can you pm a first aider moderator with what you took and how much please.

All we can say is go to the hospital and I know that is difficult once you have od a you feel everywhere and scared.

If you ring nhs direct they will ask for ur details but you can say I don't want to give them and then say you have overdosed on x and you have taken y many pills. And see what they said. X

As a note: there is no point PMing a FA advisor right now as there is no one online and waiting to hear back about an OD is not advisable. Also, telling someone who has OD'd to just PM someone and wait is dangerous. So let's not do that in the future.

You have 4 options:
- go to hospital yourself.
- call NHS direct
- Get someone to take you to hospital
- Call an ambulance.

Imperfection is underrated.

The first aid advisors are incredibly busy at the moment and not able to come online an awful lot. I don't imagine it will be fun for them to log in and find a day-old PM from someone who's overdosed, it's not fair.
In the case of an overdose it's very simple: take more than the recommended dose of something -> seek medical attention.

Sorry, I'm a little volatile right now, and engage in ALL the arguments :p

Very glad you're getting a callback. I hope they're helpful :)

When you've taken an overdose you should go to hospital. There isn't a lot that we can advise you other than that. I've been to hospital for overdoses because I knew that I had to and it wasn't safe for me to stay at home. It's not nice and I don't mean to be harsh but if you OD, you've got to be prepared to deal with the consequences, too.

Going to hospital isn't as scary as you think it will be. It is a lot of waiting around - if you feel well enough, take a book or something. You will usually have a blood test and they will wait to see your results. You'll also speak to a psychologist/Crisis Team about how you're feeling and they will help you decide on what to do next.

It's a big decision to make and a difficult one, I do empathise you... but it's best to be safe than sorry, eh?

Take care.
