Medication Question - cant keep pills down

umm so..almost 3 months ago i took an OD..
and i didnt throw up or anything from the OD..but it did make me sick for a while..just with headaches and dizzy/drowsy and all that..
but i did struggle taking my everyday medication (antidepressant and antipsychotic). everytime i took them i would begin to gag and then i would throw them all up..
i tried eating with the meds but i just threw the food up with it..
i tried not eating when i took them but then i just threw up liquid and anything else left in my stomach..
ive managed to keep taking my contraceptive pill because its smaller then a tictac and its like swallowing a piece of food..
i have avoided taking my meds a lot lately cause i dont like the throwing up..but ive been feeling really good lately (physically)..so i decided to try taking them..
and i took them and 10min went by and i was fine..
then i had lunch cause i was really hungry but i ate slow and steady..and it was good..
then i was sitting in bed and about 20min later (about 30min all up) i started feeling really sick..so i went to the bathroom just in case..and i ended up throwing up all my lunch and the meds..
im really worried..
cause i know my mood is being effected cause i dont have my meds in my system..but im also worried cause i dont know what to do to fix this..
i talked to my psychiatrist about it and at the time we just talked a little and i said i was still trying..
but i cant go through this every morning..the pills arent even staying in my system so im just putting myself through hell throwing them up all the time..
any suggestions?

I find that straight after taking them having a lolly helps me...

any way to get them in a different form? I mean, some stuff comes in liquid, tablet and pill form, so that might be worth a try.
Hope this helps.

Worth discussing with your prescriber - It may be that they can prescribe in an alternative form, such as liquid of depo.

Depending on the meds your on, some of the meds can be
1/split in half, depending if there is a score mark in between the tablet, allowing you to take 1/2 of it, then the other half if size is a problem (just double check if your allowed to do it first)
2/crush meds and mixed with water - u'll have to check with your pharmacist and or psych if they can be done or not
3/ oral solutions for the meds your on...
4/ depot injections 2 weekly to monthly depending on the type of meds and if they are available for injections - sustained release over a period of time

Hope that helps a bit and it helps with you taking your meds a bit easier
