ignoring personal opion on the bands here, because lets face it my opinion is a small drop in a big pond, but no matter what these people want to do, so you really think they will be able to do it?
being too lazy to read 4 pages I can not see any reason they would have for banning the bands, they have not done anything controvercial, their lyrics and videos are hardly going to shock people to the core and they are just generaly non threatening bands. they will not get anywhere without having to ban the millions of bands more heavy than them. Hell if Cannibal Corpse is still allowed to bring out records I think Gerard Way can continue sleeping safe without the worry of his band being banned.
oh and they do have a site...and over 52,000 signatures... Gerard Way [of MCR]said that they would postpone their tour, stop singing about murder, and stop selling their latest cd if MAHR got 60,000 signatures

There isn't, and never has been, a group called "Mothers Against Hard Rock". The story was never reported by NBC, it's something that was first posted on Usenet and a couple of bulletin boards back in 2005 and spread virally from there. The link above returns a 404 error, and has been registered to a German domain registration company since 1998.

Does this remind you of prohibition in the 30s in the USA at all? well all the women (well not all of them but housewifes etc) tried to get alcohol banned claiming is was evil etc..... seems like the same thing here. Didnt solve anything.
Anyway, I bet these mothers spend most of their time trying to impose their idealistic strict unreasonable moral values on their children and so the children rebel. Then the mothers freak out and look for something to blame, of course it cant be their fault, of course it can't be because they dont actually talk to their children, it has to be the fault of hard rock bands. lol.
