UK banking question

I have some money to put in a bank account. I have the account details. However the bank account is not in my name (it's a club name) & I am not a signatory. Can I still put the money in or does it have to be someone whose name is on the signatory list?

Anyone can put money into an account but only a signatory can take money out.

Thanks. I am not interested in taking money out so the fact I can't isn't a problem for me.
