i'm unsure why posting a date about how long someone has been free from si is bad,I am still trying to stop and I find it triggering but inspiring none the less. but I understand in a way the point of this thread.
you know what? if you don't like who I am..I don't see anything stopping you from moving on![b]

I'd rather see a discrete '1 month free' than a blatant picture, but that's just my opinion. I agree that it's absurd when people write '1 week free' etc.. But why not just make a rule against that? Or make a rule that the shortest amount of time you can put in your signature is 1 month?
Also, if the bracelets are coloured, won't it be obvious what it represents? To me, it is exactly the same as seeing, '1 month free from si' written down, maybe that's just me.
emilie people were putting last SI yesterday in their signatures. Or a huge list of things such as last cut, last burn, last OD, last suicide attempt, last purge, ect (yes people did do that.)
What you suggested was in the original poll when this long debate happened and it was thought to be too "big brotherish" for the mods to make an amount of time that was acceptable. Also that couldn't eliminate the log list of lasts.
The bracelets never became vogue anyway and I can only think of one person who has used this in the past two months.
I hope this helps.
Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

this thread needs stickying elsewhere, like vets, i rarely rarely go anywhere else and only came to GC to see if Tony still posted sturday night stories and happened to notice it. One of Vet's purposes is it's a place for recovered individuals to post, so recovery orientated sig's are likely to happen there, so would make sense to let those who only frequent there a change in rules. just my 2 pence x

Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the 60's. Or maybe I was just a girl... interrupted.
I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside. I tried groups, didn't work out just made my depression a lot worse.
