Triggering - Voodoo Doll *poem*

[To The Lighthouse]

this is my first ever poem about everything thats going wrong. so ummm hope it's ok.

I’m my own personal voodoo doll.
I hurt so the world knows I’m not alright.
I hurt to change the world.
It’s my way of coping.
My way of being who I want to be.
But it doesn’t work.

I hurt me to hurt you.
I hurt me to hurt me.

I don’t want to be this way. But I kind of do.
The needle numbs my pain.
The blade sends a shiver down my spine.
The bleach makes me feel ill.
The pills comfort me.
The hunger reminds me of my goal.

I hurt me to hurt you.
I hurt me to hurt me.

*hug* This poem is great. It's straight from the heart, and i'm sure so many of the people here, man all of them can relate their experiences to this in some way. Its great, I hope you can use your poetry help you, I know that I have helped myself out of some very dark hours with poetry.
