Erm, feel a bit silly..

Hey, Ive not really posted in here before but some past issues are bothering me even though they're not a big deal.

Just thought id say Im Ami and im 18

Anyhoo, when i was younger (in primary school) people used to call me names because of my nose.

In secondry school, i used to get called names because of my nose/ some random names too.

Even when i went to collge i got eggs threw at me twice.

I went to a differenet college and a group of lads usued to take the piss out of the way i look, and talk about me in a bad way.

Ive been called "the fat one" alot, and "ugly" alot too.

I guess these are the reasons i feel so ****, especially about the way i look.

Never written them things down before. Even though they're small they've impacted me a lot.

Hey Ami,
I don't think it is anything to feel silly about bullying has a huge impact on a person and the way they feel about themselves. Well done for writing this out its a huge step. Have you ever spoke to anyone about the things that have happened and how they make you feel because its obviously having an effect on your life and thats not fair because you have done nothing wrong.
What they said and did was a reflection on them not you but bullying can leave you feeling horrible you might want to look here for some tips for boosting your self esteem.
It is hard but with help you can build up your self confidence again and start to feel good abotu yourself because no matter what anyone says you are a beautiful and special individual.

you're not being silly, not at all! bullying is an awful thing and can harm a person in many ways... I've started making a thread about this sort of thing here as it always amazes me how people do not take bullying seriously when it can cause such distress and long term problems for a person

have you ever tried speaking about these things in real life? I know it's hard, but discussing insecurities can help destroy them, in time. I agree with the aove about that link, it is VERY good and self-esteem is a VERY important thing

I havent talked about it properly but i will metion it on monday when i see my cbt therpist, leanne. I think it will be relevent.
