Its never really been a big thing with me. Even when I was a kid I never once went trick or treating. My parents said it was "too American" whatever that means. I think I'm a bit big to start that now too...
I too shall be refusing to answer the door the kiddes and eat all their sweets myself. Muhahahahaha.
Then I'll probably have a wander around and see the bonfires. The estates where I live always try to compete for the biggest bonfire.
Par-tay! I'm going to see my niece and nephew dressed up and then I'm going to my friend's house for a party. And on the Friday before I'm going on a haunted halloween forest walk and there is a bbq and band afterwards.
I'M GOING TO BE A ZOMBIE!!
I love to dress up.. and i've got some wierd plastic stuff you stick to your face so it looks like its dropping off :D WAHEY!
This Saturday there's a pot luck party at the stables, so I'll be going to that and dressing up the pony. I'm not sure if I'll dress up at all. Then on Halloween itself, I'm either going to answer the door for trick or treaters or go do something with a friend. Maybe.
im going trick or treating with my friend! i cant wait!!!!!!!
we are the fallen
we are the wounded
we are the shattered
we are the unheard
we are the brave
we are the strong we are Survivors. and..... we are the future
we fallen can still rise by the wings of hope that lifts us~
Jack, you'll have to show us some scary pics :) I do love seeing photos of where you live (because it's an incredible place... Not because I'm creepy... )
I'll see what I have and make another thread. A lot of the "scary" thing are at night and flash tends to ruin the moment and look.
The coolest thing around here is the Jack O'Lantern Blaze (about 80 thousand people will visit in 6 weeks). One of the local house (built in 1600s) museums carves up 4-5 thousand pumpkins and arranges them into skeletons coming out of the ground, pterosaurs, aliens, huge spider webs, pirates - all sorts of things. The kicker is that the house is genuinely one of the creepiest placed I've ever been (and I worked there too). During Revolution the house was a hospital for Hessian (German) soldiers. They carved their names and other things into the fireplaces etc. There is also an old Indian burial ground on the site.
I video gives better impression of event than flash pics

You give in too easily.
There's always something fun happening on Halloween. You just need to look for it.

My plans are pretty boring, just staying in watching the Halloween films (the orginals not the Rob Zombie remakes) and drinking copious amounts of red wine :)
