What about the tumblr blogs who's sole purpose is to reblog scenery, nature and other non-graphic photos?
It's no surprised it is banned though, we have too many people reblogging the most morbid sh*t just as a fad, it's just starting to get ridiculous now.
I think it is unfair on the people who have clean blogs such as mine though.. are there any exceptions?
If a gif or an image posted onto the site breaks no rules then yes it is allowed. If there is just a file that is not clickable, members dont need to worry about stumbling across some triggering content.
Vanished Point, im afraid there will be no exceptions. Its a case of a few people having ruined it for everyone.

Two questions:
1) Does this also apply to putting a tumblr as your 'homepage' on your profile?
2) If so, is it legit to say 'pm me for tumblr link' on one's profile?
Tumblr links are banned everywhere unfortunatly, so no link on your profile. Also (and this is my oppinion, we haven't actually discussed this as a mod team yet) having 'PM me for my tumblr link' should also not be allowed, because the tumblr link would be exchanged via ryl, and it is now banned on ryl. If you think of it (and i know your blog wouldnt be like this, but, hear me out) as someone writing 'PM me for a link to my pro SI blog' it migth be easier to udnerstand where i am comming from.

With the tumblrs, and how many warnings were given, it must be pretty frustrating to see it being repeatedly broken.
It's a big shame this has happened, but I completely understand why. Scrolling through Tumblr and then it's like 'Bunny, bunny, cake, Sherlock, kitten, more cake, Emma Watson, guinea pigs with hats on, BAM!GRAPHICSELFHARM!' is not fun. I hope people start taking responsibility for themselves and realise that it's not really okay to advertise your/other people's self injury to vulnerable people by posting links to blogs with disturbing material, which is why the general rule is in place to stop pro-sites.

I do not use Tumblr, so this won't make any difference to me. I don't really understand why people would want to photograph, upload and look at their own/other people's self-harm.

Well sadly it's something that's done a lot and not just on other sites but also on here, there's often spates of it in Pandora's Box which really is not on
Can I just say that although this is a truly shitty situation and sucks for the majority that despite that *touches wood* everyone has, despite their disappointment and frustration, been polite, not lashed out at mods or otherwise, so just yes, dropping by to congratulate a mature attitude to a shitty situation *tips hat and wanders on*
