I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

I don't think you have to come off meds to DBT! It seems quite odd if you do!

I was on meds throughout DBT. I think perhaps the aim of DBT is that you might learn to manage things without the medication but it all depends on why you are on medication etc. Anyway, you definitely don't have to come off it! x

It depends what programme you are in. I was once in a theraputic community where they didn't allow you to be on medication unless you had bipolar or schizophrenia. It was a theraputic community for personality disorders so most people were off meds.

However most dbt treatment allow you to be in meds.
Your better off asking the people who run the dbt course your doing.

Like others have said, it really depends on the programme. I'm pretty sure the clinical trials took people off medication, and some IP places require coming off meds. However, most outpatient groups certainly tend to allow them.

I've never heard of having to come off meds for DBT, most people in my group were on meds
