I am currently:
Medication Question - Tramadol and Anti Depressants !!

Why cant they be mixed !? the dr told me this eve that tramadol and specifically sertrline cant be mixed but also not other ad's !!
He wouldnt justify it and now I dunno if its me being blind but I cant find it in my BNF :/

My guess is that it increases the risk of serotonin syndrome, which is really dangerous.

But I think we've probably now both broken the board rules, as you're not supposed to ask for advice here once you're getting it from a medical professional. Your doctor is the qualified person!

In the BNF there is an interactions list: "increased risk of CNS toxicity when SSRIs given with tramadol".

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
