I don't think there's anything anyone can do I just need to get through ton ight and see the state of the graft tomorrow. Hopefully I can then go home. It'll be nice to be out of this really heavy cast anyway.

Its hard to think like that carmen when the little old lafies xant do anything much for themselves. This morning I'm very wrries about the graft. I suppose in a few hours I'll get to see it.

Thanks. Graft us 100% covered the underneath tissue which is fantastic. It's huge though! I've got rid of the cast which is good. I will be on crutches for walking but I'm allowed to stand on it. Should be back in richmond midweek next week but they will advise more on Friday.

Try and challenge your thoughts lovely.
I know it's really hard right now, but think how much you are wanting to go back to the Cassel to carry on with treatment. If you harm badly again you'll either push that further back, or they may not allow you back.
What can you do right now to try and get through the next hour safely?
Is trying to sleep an option?

I don't know what I can do I have nothing here to distract with and I can't have a bath. I don't know. I want to rip the dressings off I feel so bad.

Ripping off your dressing and harming further isn't going to help you move forward.
Think how you felt the other day when you didn't know if your skin graft had taken or not.
You don't want to end up in that position again, with all those scary feelings.

Try and take things little by little.
If you can't have a bath right now, can you do self-care in some other way?
It might make you feel a bit better.

Thanks. J had a nap and feel less self destructive. I even managed to stick the dressing back on that was coming off. I still feel very very low though. May paint my nails or something

Painting your nails sounds like a good idea. What color will you do them in?

They are mint green ish. Called leaf.

I'm sk itchy and uncomfortable. And low.

If the itching is physical, can you apply body lotion or similar?
