remove stitches?
I had to go to the doctor to get stitches and it's my first time and he told me to go to a clinic after seven days to remove the stitches, but now I wonder if you can remove them yourself or do you have to go to a doctor to remove them?

You're better off going to the docs, it only takes minutes so may as well go to the docs.

I agree with Mike. This is because doctors and nurses will have the sterilised equipment needed to remove stitches safely, and also because they will be able to judge if the wound is healed enough for the stitches to be taken out, amongst other reasons.

Yep, I agree with that, go to the doctors/clinic to get it done. Though it is generally a simple process you do need to know what you're doing and 1 of the main points of it is making sure that the area within the skin feels stable (not just looks it on the surface) beforehand. To do that you need to know what you're looking for as it could look totally healed on the surface but not underneath and then it would just totally reopen (and I have seen wounds do just that and that was after 10days and it had been assessed by a professional).
