They might be saying it, but I don't think there's any evidence confirming that. The things they say have never really been proven helpful. Have you ever failed to listen to their warnings? And the warnings didn't really turn out true, did they? So far listening to the voices achieved nothing but get you in trouble. Why would you trust someone who claims to look out for you, but is never helpful?

One of the patients thought I was pregnant. Mum says if I put weight on my clozapine belly would be proportionally smaller but I remember going clothes shopping a couple of years ago and the sales assistant said the same thing.

I'm sorry if it's upsetting you, but I can relate. Sometimes I get that from shop assistants too, and I heard that from other people, including coworkers. However, firstly it has more to do with posture and proportions than being overweight. Actually, my coworker explained he thought I was pregnant precisely because I don't appear overweight at all. And secondly, even if someone is overweight and has a belly, not eating anything at all is not an answer. It can only go one of two ways. Short periods of starving will make body panic and think that "the long winter has came" and every time you eat it needs to store as much as possible, especially in a form of belly fat, so all the weight lost by starving will be gained right back, if not more. And long periods of starving mess up your body and mind, make you unable to go back to eating, and are seriously harmful, if not deadly. So neither is a desirable option or a solution. Please, remember it.

I don't have any advice but I can sympathise. I also have my weigh day tomorrow and am terrified I've gained weight.

I'm sure a couple of days of the nutrition drinks won't have impacted your weight too much anyway and if it has it's probably not 'real' weight. And even so you should expect to gain a little whilst your body gets used to nutrition again but it should even out.

Try not to freak out. You probably need it anyway. Your body desperately needs the nutrition. It'll cling to the nutrients to start with and then even out. Try to persevere with the nutrition drinks.

Mum wants me to eat even more! But I'm happy at this weight and the amount I'm eating. OK,I'm still losing weight but only a little.

I know I've lost lots of weight but part of me wants to lose more to feel in control of my body. But if my obs aren't healthy they will stop the ECT.
