Heat and sun seems to give me migraines so I wouldnt mind if it was a bit cooler. But otherwise I am much preferring this year to the year we had non stop rain, not going to moan too much.

It's far too hot! Trying to keep my house cool is a nightmare! Going for walks is impossible. My only pair of shorts fall down as soon as I take even one step I can't wait for it to cool down a little!!

I'm loving it, although trying to figure out what to wear in this weather is a nightmare!

The joys of living in the middle of the north sea..its hovering around 18 degrees here but theres always the breeze.

Also, you kind of get punished for a sunny day here. you have a nice day and then the next day is thick THICK (as in, can't see past the end of the car) fog.

I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by beaches here. We've visited a new one almost every day and they're always empty. My son runs around the beach butt naked.

^ I don't know why that evoked an 'awww' but its cool you can have a beach to yourself/your family.

Awkwardly I am vexed as to where you mean *feels stupid* Scotland?

^ Soon, probably. And come winter everyone will be complaining about how cold it is.

Why does everyone moan when its hot (its not a blooming heatwave at 30 degrees - other countries cope fine with far higher temperatures) and then moan when its cold. Some people are never satisfied. Typical of Brits.

Because our houses and lifestyle aren't equipped to deal with extremes of temperature?

30 degrees isn't that extreme, we have been building up in temperature and you have to admit that Brits do have a reputation for never being satisfied weather wise!!

Yeah we moan about the weather but I stand by it being extreme for the temperate climate we are used to. I lived with 2 aussies last year and they said they found it hard over here when it gets around 30degrees because nothing is ventilated or air conditioned like it is in their work places or homes.

Agree with Lillie! If it was always this hot in summer, we'd be adapted to it and there would be systems in place, but we're not, so things are hard. People in equatorial countries in Africa (e.g. DRC) would freak out if it went below 15 degrees celsius, which to us is completely manageable, but to them is unheard of and they would be too cold and have no way to heat themselves. It's all relative.

I'm just so grateful that it's the holidays and I'm not working, so at least when I do go out I can wear flip flops and such!

No other sadness in the world would do

This is why I am a winter person! Don't get me wrong, Summer is nice but when it gets very hot I just don't cope. Even with a breeze blowing it's still too warm! It's also hard to sleep when it's really hot.

Hurry up winter!

Er, yeah, but snow in winter in Britain is pretty common. As in, happens pretty much every year. And yet, a couple of centimetres of the stuff and everything grinds to a halt :P
