Advice for constantly misplacing items?
This has been an issue for a long while, but I want to make this the crux of how bad it gets.
The thing is, I've misplaced my bank/debit card twice in the same month now, and that really doesn't look good when you're in your mid-20s.
I do this all the time with other items. Usually it's my phone, keys, shoes, something else. I had it so often with homework, I'm still surprised I'm not retaking 4th grade for the 10th year.
I've tried so many ways to curb this - Setting a specific place, and then either not putting it there and misplacing it somewhere else, or putting it there, not remembering that I did that, and turning my place upside-down trying to find it and losing something else in the process. There are times when something truly has gone somewhere I'd never think of. I've cleaned rooms (sometimes this helps, not all the time though).
I think a lot of my anxiety has to do with this, really. And I'll beat myself up so much whenever I lose something (and sometimes even more when I find it), and I still worry that it'll be the cause of the end of my relationship, so if anyone knows of ways that work for them with this, it'd be very much appreciated.
