Reviews Requested- Safe - Dog Photography

I love dogs, and I love photography... put 'em together and what have you got? Bipity Bopity Boo... and whatever I'm posting in this thread :P

Coal is my Labrador Retriever + Border Collie who's 8 years old (some of you may remember my birthday thread for him :P). He's my bestest friend in the whole wide world!

I had a blast at the Caledonia Classic Dogsled Races, very cool to watch!

Some Mexican dogs from my trip to Mexico :P

This is Brady, he's my parents 6 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I took this photo right after I bathed him, hence why he looks like a sad drowned rat :P

A friend's dog recently had puppies. He comes into my work place at least 3 times a week now with a puppy and tries to talk me into taking one. Tempting as it is, I keep telling him no! I WILL however, take pictures of their cute little faces!!

This is my favorite photo of Coal, I recently did it as an acrylic painting and it hangs on my wall in my art room. I need to get a frame for it still though!

I have another dog too, but he's not as photogenic as Coal is :P

I love taking photos of dogs. My boyfriend and I hope to travel a lot more so my goal is to get photos of dogs from all over the world :P I found it fascinating the differences between the dogs in Mexico and the dogs in my hometown in Canada that are "street dogs" and therefore natural selection has decided how they'd be built and what they'd look like!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the pretty puppies :D

Those are amazing photos! You have a great talent! And those dogs are adorable. What kind of camera do you use?

(& also, that painting is absolutely amazing!)

Thank you :D

GlitterTrashDoll - I have a camera that is a couple of years old now, and I am actually considering getting the newer version this year (it does video too, which mine doesn't!) I have a Digital Canon Rebel xTi. If I get the newest one I'll still be able to use my lenses with it too, which is nice because I have 3 lenses and they're bloody expensive! My Macro alone (which is NOT brand name) was $700 (CAN)!!! It's an expensive hobby!!

For Christmas I just got a tripod too, so I'm learning how to best use that right now. It's definitely a lot of fun, and photographing dogs is totally my favorite :D
