To "err" means to make a mistake or to deviate from accepted moral values.
"Strange" means weird or unusual, and at the time that I first used this screen name probably 7 or 8 years ago it was kind of a nickname for me that my friends came up with.
For some reason, I felt like putting them together, I guess maybe it was the whole pun on "stranger" plus the fact that my life seemed like a really strange mistake at the time. It's become my standard nom de guerre on most boards I post at, I've tried a few other SN's but none of them have ever really stuck.

Well, mine is actually my nickname for Leanne. It started off when I was about 12 & me & my friends were talking about which animal each other would be & somebody said i'd be a lamb because i'm so gentle. & then my friend got all clever on us & realised you could make Lan from Leanne. & then my other friend started calling me Lanny baby & then I just got called Lanny :> I get called Lan sometimes, but that's if i'm in trouble with my boyfriend, hee hee. & well, I didn't wanna lie about my S/H anymore so I just thought, why not be upfront about everything, even my name. Hence the creation of Lanny :>
