Psychosis and Headaches

Hi everyone. I first experienced psychosis a while back after taking too much Adderall. I heard things that werenít really there. After that and ever since then Iíve had severe headaches. But they feel different than normal headaches or even migraines. I feel pressure and tightness in my head, as if someoneís squeezing my brain and cutting off the oxygen from it. My psychiatrist told me she thinks this is ďa form ofĒ psychosis. I am on an antipsychotic and it does reduce the headache a lot. But Iíve never heard of this and I was wondering, have any of you with psychosis ever had this?

Yes, headaches do happen with psychosis. Even if not in full psychosis sometimes It starts as a headache or pressure feeling. Everything you described is about right. At least this also happens to me the same way and I'm also on an antipsychotic.

I hope things improve for you.
